Eric Burdon (1941-) is a musician with his roots in American Rhythm and blues. His first international band "The Animals" recorded such hits as "The House of the Rising Sun", "Monterey", "San Franciscan Nights", "Sky Pilot", "Don't bring Me Down" and many others. He later recorded with other groups such as "War". His songs are earthy and powerful and are good listening. Eric came from the Newcastle area in North England. He has, for many years, resided on the west coast in America.
